Local government elections 2026

Find your voting station

Search by your ward ID or voting district number, or find your ward on the map. Not sure where you're registered? SMS your ID number to 32810, or check on the IEC website.

You can only vote in the voting district where you're registered. Your ballots are for your own ward and municipality, and each voting station only has the voters' roll for its own district. If you've moved since you registered, your station is still the one for your old address unless you updated your registration. If you can't get to your station on election day, you can apply to the IEC for a special vote.

Voting stations: Electoral Commission of South Africa. Stations can change before election day.
